These Terms of Service govern your use of https://lightswitches.co.za and purchases made from Home Smart Innovations (Pty) Ltd, trading as Light Switches (“Light Switches”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By accessing the website, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund and Returns Policy.
1. Use of the Website
You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Violate any applicable law or the rights of another person.
- Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information.
- Introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful material.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, accounts or systems.
- Scrape, copy or exploit website content without our written permission.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the website.

2. Products and Product Information
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, colours, specifications and prices are accurate. However, colours and finishes may appear differently depending on the device or screen used.
Please review all measurements, compatibility information and installation requirements before ordering. Some products may require specific wall boxes, fittings or installation methods.
Products are subject to availability and may be changed or discontinued without notice.
3. Electrical and Product Installation
Electrical products must be installed by a suitably qualified person and in accordance with applicable laws, standards and manufacturer instructions.
You are responsible for confirming that a product is suitable for its intended location, electrical system, wall-box dimensions and application before installation.
Please inspect products before installation. Installed products may not qualify for return except where required by law or where a valid defect or warranty claim applies.
4. Prices and Payment
Prices are displayed in South African rand unless stated otherwise. Prices may change without notice, but a change will not affect an order already accepted by us.
Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods available at checkout. Payment processing may be performed by third-party payment providers and may be subject to their terms.
Obvious pricing, availability or product-information errors may be corrected. If an error affects an order, we will contact you and may offer the option to proceed on the corrected basis or receive a refund.
5. Orders
Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products. An order is accepted only once payment has been confirmed and we have issued confirmation that the order is being processed.
We may refuse or cancel an order where:
- A product is unavailable.
- Payment cannot be authorised.
- Pricing or product information contains a material error.
- We reasonably suspect fraud, resale abuse or unlawful activity.
- Delivery cannot reasonably be made to the supplied address.
If we cancel a paid order, we will refund the affected amount using the original payment method where reasonably possible.
You are responsible for supplying complete and accurate billing, contact and delivery information.
6. Delivery
Delivery estimates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed unless expressly agreed in writing. Delays may occur because of couriers, suppliers, weather, public events, address problems or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Responsibility for the products passes to you upon delivery to the address supplied with the order, subject to applicable consumer law.
Please report missing, damaged or incorrect goods promptly in accordance with our Refund and Returns Policy.
7. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges
Returns, refunds, exchanges, damaged goods and warranty claims are governed by our Refund and Returns Policy.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, or other applicable South African law.
8. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for activity conducted through your account. Information provided when creating or updating an account must be accurate and current.
Please notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

The website and its content—including text, graphics, photographs, logos, product descriptions, designs and layout—belong to Light Switches or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

If you submit a review, photograph, suggestion or other content, you confirm that you have the right to submit it and that it is accurate, lawful and does not infringe another person’s rights.
