Akupanel Acoustic Panel Natural Wood
Our WoodUpp Akupanel Acoustic Panel Natural Wood Collection combines real wood veneer with acoustic comfort. Its slatted design adds warmth and depth to your walls and ceilings, while the natural grain gives every panel a unique appearance. In addition, the panels help reduce echo and improve room acoustics with Class A sound absorption.
Made in Denmark, these original slat wall panels follow Scandinavian design principles, bringing natural materials and a calm, cohesive look to your space. They are also easy to install and pair with Create accessories.
What sizes does the natural wood acoustic panel come in?
Choose between two panel sizes to suit your space. Both options measure 60 cm wide and 2.2 cm deep.
- 240 cm × 60 cm: Covers 1.44 m² per panel.
- 300 cm × 60 cm: Covers 1.8 m² per panel.
What materials make up the Akupanel?
The slats use MDF with a real wood veneer surface. In addition, the acoustic felt contains 50% recycled plastic (PET). The veneer features natural variations in grain and colour, and the slightly rounded slat edges create a natural finish. As a result, no two panels look exactly alike.
How does the natural wood panel improve room acoustics?
The slatted structure helps reduce echo and improve acoustics. Furthermore, the panel provides Class A sound absorption while adding the warmth and character of real wood veneer to your walls or ceilings.
How do I install the Akupanel?
First, ensure the wall surface is clean, dry and flat. Then hold the panel in position and mark the screw positions through the felt backing. Drill pilot holes and insert wall plugs if required.
Next, fasten each panel with 15 screws through the felt backing. Alternatively, apply mounting glue evenly to the felt backing, press the panel firmly against the surface and hold it for 20–30 seconds. Use a spirit level throughout to keep the panel straight. Finally, allow the glue to cure fully before hanging accessories.
How should I clean and care for the natural wood veneer?
Use a dust brush or vacuum cleaner for routine cleaning. For spot cleaning, wipe the surface with a tightly wrung-out cloth. Also, remember that light exposure can gradually change the veneer’s appearance. This natural patina is an expected part of the wood’s character.
What is the maximum weight capacity?
The maximum load depends on the mounting orientation. A vertically mounted 60 × 60 cm section supports up to 40 kg, while a horizontally mounted 60 × 60 cm section supports up to 5 kg. Therefore, consider the mounting orientation when planning to hang accessories, and allow any mounting glue to cure fully first.
